Create sprites
Generate new pixel art, reskin the assets you already have, and finish them in a full sprite editor. Sprites sync both ways with your game project, and Claude or ChatGPT can make them for you over MCP.

Generate game-ready pixel art from a text prompt—characters, enemies, items, weapons, props, tiles, UI icons, and full environments. Every sprite lands on a real pixel grid as fully editable layers, so you can fine-tune directly in the built-in pixel art editor without leaving the canvas. AI generation, palette control, and pixel-perfect editing are fully integrated in one workflow.

Describe the change and MagicPixel applies it while preserving the original silhouette, palette, and pixel density. Damage states, weather, accessories, expression, time-of-day. Iterate as many takes as you want and keep the source layer intact.

Start with any asset and generate reskins or bolder variations with new colors, materials, gear and themes. Results keep the source's size and proportions and land as new artboards next to it, which suits character cosmetics, environment variations and themed versions of the same asset.

Start from one sprite and generate a matching set of characters, creatures, weapons, potions, tiles or UI icons. The set follows the source's palette, lighting, scale and rendering style, so the pieces read as one art kit instead of a pile of mismatched downloads.

Import your studio palette as .gpl, .hex, .pal or .txt from Aseprite, GIMP or any palette site, or start from a ready-made palette with every hex code listed. Snap any imported or generated sprite onto that palette, and use Color Adjust to shift whole color groups (stone, wood, outline) when a piece needs a reskin.

Run the MagicPixel CLI in your project folder and it links the folder to your library. PNGs you change in the project upload to MagicPixel, and sprites you finish here go back to the same files when you press Sync. It works with Unity, Godot, GameMaker or a web game, and renames and deletions are cleaned up so old files don't pile up.

GameMakerConnect MagicPixel's MCP server to Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT or Cursor and your agent can generate sprites, reskin and turn the assets you already have, sort them into folders and check your credits. Everything it makes lands in your library, ready to edit and sync. Claude and ChatGPT only need the URL below: paste it into Connectors and approve once.

CursorDrag in .aseprite, .ase, .png or animated GIFs. Aseprite frames, layers and animation tags come in as they are, with no PNG round-trip. Sprite sheets and GIFs are split into separate frames you can edit, recolor, or use as a style reference for AI.
